Hip Hip Hooray it’s HILLTOP time @ March’s!!! Here’s what you can expect…

VERY IMPORTANT!!! Hilltop PYO apples is over. However, starting this weekend we will be opening our Hilltop PYO pumpkin patch (not pre-cut). Interested? Head to The Hilltop and hop aboard our tractor pulled wagon ride. No charge to ride. Pick your own pumpkins, take the wagon ride back, and pay at the PYO red pop up tents.

PYO APPLES
PYO Apples in the orchard alongside the Farm Store is open Monday – Friday from 10:30-4:30pm.

PYO Apple Bags Costs
1/2 Bushel (22lbs) $35
Peck (12lbs) $22
1/2 Peck (6lbs) $12

PUMPKINS
The pumpkin yard (pre-picked pumpkins) across the street from the Farm Store will be open. Carving pumpkins are $.75/lb and sugar pumpkins are $1/lb. Our Hilltop PYO pumpkin patch is also open on The Hilltop Saturday’s and Sunday’s only.

CORN MAZE
Our Olympic themed Corn Maze will be open Saturday & Sunday’s only from 10:30-4:30pm. Tickets must be purchase at the Red PYO tent on ‘The Hilltop’. We will not be selling tickets at the Corn Maze itself. Tickets cost $5 per person (3 & under FREE). It’s approximately a 5 minute walk from the PYO tent to corn maze.

WAGON RIDE
How’s about a wagon ride though our beautiful Hilltop orchards with spectacular views. Our tractor pulled wagon is also open from 10:30-4:30pm and makes stops at the Corn Maze, to pickup/drop off those who choose not to walk, as well as our pumpkin patch (starting end of September). FREE

– March Farm Snack Shack ~ Signature Grilled Cheese, Hot Dogs, Soup (Tomato Bisque, Corn Chowder, Broccoli & Cheese), Pickles, Cold & Hot Apple Cider, Freezer Treats
– Tilden Seafood ~ Lobster Rolls and more!
– Plymouth Kettle Corn ~ Kettle Corn, Roasted Nuts, Frozen Apple Cider, Cotton Candy. Plymouth Kettle Corn will also be serving fried dough down by the farm store.

Sunday’s

TO ACCESS ‘THE HILLTOP’
Walk ~ Want a little more exercise & adventure during your visit? Park down by the Farm Store and walk to ‘The Hilltop’ via our Farm Hike. Please keep in mind that this hike includes a long rather steep hill. You’ll be breaking a sweat by the time you get to the top for sure. Hike takes about 20 minutes. Begins across the street from the Farm Play Scape.
Drive ~ You can also park on The Hilltop. Drive past the farm store (farm store on left), continue up the road bearing to the right at the top of the hill and look out for a ‘HILLTOP’ sign on your left. Head up the drive to park. There is a $5 suggested parking donation on the days we have live music scheduled.

LIVE MUSIC
Every Saturday & Sunday will be having Live Music on The Hilltop from 12-2pm and 2:30pm-4:30pm. No cost, we simply ask for the $5 donation when parking on The Hilltop.

OTHER HILLTOP ACTIVITIES
– Face Painting with Jessica ~ September 15, 22, 28, 29, October 5, 20, 27th
– Bounce House ~ 10:30-4:30pm. Also offering Face Painting on the Saturday and Sunday’s that Jessica is not there. Please bring Cash this first weekend for the bounce house. They have a CC machine, but need to use it at another event just this upcoming weekend. The following weekends CC payments will be an option.

RULES…
– Pickers must be out of the orchards no later than 6pm
– No climbing trees
– No dogs
– Have fun!!!

Ben March Scholarship

Forever in our Hearts

After losing our beloved Benny in a tragic farm related accident, we decided to create a Scholarship in his memory. The Ben March Scholarship is awarded to two graduating seniors every year; one graduating Nonnewaug High School Vo-Ag senior, and one Holy Cross High School senior football player. Ladybug Liberation

Fun fact: Ladybugs are also known as lady beetles or ladybird beetles. They are natural predators of crop-damaging aphids and other insects, so releasing them in the greenhouse (as seen here) is an efficient way of maintaining a healthy garden.
